Who are we but matter bound to energy?
Maybe the most complex form of unsavory veggie?
Life, as we call it, is a fleeting thing of wonder.
Who knows what stays in store and when we go under.
Friendship, better yet, hits you like thunder.
One minute we stay as one, the other asunder.
Then to think back, there is none a reflection,
What was once is now mere sweet imagination.
Why such attraction to these mellifluous concepts?
Why not to some random incoherent objects?
Stuck in this, one tends to jostle and wriggle.
Then it is back to butt-loads of solitude and niggle.
