Thoughts, overwhelming, overpowering that they are
Some naive, some consoling, some natural yet some bizarre;
Propelling you to a state you least expect to get into
Leading you into what is an uncontrollable slue.
Caught in a whirlwind of emotions, thus begins a journey mine,
Know not where or how fate takes me in my stride.
Realizing that on the road I am not but alone,
Rather, with me are the people whom I call my own.
Some naive, some consoling, some natural yet some bizarre;
Belonging, yet affected by a sheer feeling of loneliness,
I set out to find solace, not minding my own business.
What I seek is just a helping hand in time of need,
Instead I fail at it, making enemies, paying no heed.
Such is my plight that no one cares one bit,
I see that I have to take it, hit by hit;
What dawns on me is a realization fresh and new,
Oh Lord, that in times of need, I have you!
